“ALSO has provided me with the support care that I need in order to ensure that I am able to live as independently as possible. I enjoy living at ALPHA because I can get the help when I need it and the staff is good to me. At ALPHA, I have a quality of life. I am actively involved in the community. I try to help anyone I can, even at ALPHA. This keeps me going and I don’t want to stop; I will continue to be independent as long as I am able.”

“Due to the death of my parents, by the time I was 17, I had a decision to make. I decided to stay in Windsor and move into ALPHA, which is staffed by A.L.S.O. I was able to complete my high school education. I then went to university where I have been able to complete three degrees.
Currently, I teach psychology online to college students. I sit on various committees and am very involved in my church”

“I remember being happy to hear that I was going to have the opportunity to have my own apartment with the support staff available. A.L.S.O. has provided me with the support care I need to ensure that I am able to live as independently as possible. In 1998 I discovered I was going to have a baby; along with the happiness of knowing I was going to have a baby came many concerns, such as how I would care for my child. I have been able to raise my son with a level of independence. I have a job, raise my son, and at time must deal with some complications in my health due to my disability. The trials and tribulations of raising a child are difficult enough. A.L.S.O. can assist with the physical aspect.”
